Job Description :- Perform secondary administration tasks on MongoDB, Azure PostgreSQL, and Azure MySQL.- Design, implement, and maintain database systems to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.- Develop and execute comprehensive database backup and recovery plans.- Monitor database performance and optimize queries for efficient data retrieval.- Ensure database systems meet business and performance requirements.- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement robust database solutions.- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, providing timely and effective solutions.- Document database procedures and policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards.- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in database administration.- In-depth understanding of Azure SQL PaaS database and Managed instance capabilities and features.- Proficiency in writing and maintaining PowerShell scripts for database automation- Design, implement, and maintain large-scale distributed databases that handle big data.- Optimize database performance for efficiency and scalability.- Ensure data integrity and security within the databases.- Install and configure big data technologies, such as Hadoop, NoSQL databases, and other distributed computing systems.- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize query performance.- Implement performance tuning and optimization strategies to ensure efficient data processing.- Experience in large and complex databases in SQL Server 2019,2017,2014,2012, SQL Server 2008 R2- Experience in Installation and configuration of SQL Server 2008 R2, 2012,2014,2016,2017,2019- Technical proficiency in handling Microsoft SQL Database related issues both in production and non-production environments with expertise in doing rigorous troubleshooting on Database Backup, Restore, Log shipping, Database Mirroring and Always on etc.- Experienced in scheduling Backups, Restore and Maintenance plans using Native tools.- Experienced in using different Recovery models Simple, Full and Bulk-logged depending on Application requirement :- Good experience configuring the index creation and maintenance activities on indexes.- Slow running queries and helping in improving the performance.- Restoring the Databases from Prod to Test.- Troubleshooting blockings, deadlocks, disk space issues and fixing them by adding permanent fixes.- Running the maintenance activities like update-statistics and DBCC CHECKDB at the time of performance issues- Creating and managing the users and permissions and fixing the orphan users.- Configured and maintained Transactional Replication and troubleshooting and adding articles to the existing replication.- Good experience configuring and maintaining Log shipping and Mirroring.- Hands on experience in Migration of SQL Server and databases from old version to new version.- Configured and maintained Active/Passive clustering for failover. And performing patching as well.- Configuring Always-ON in SQL Server 2012/2014 and adding and removing Databases to existing HADR Availability Group.- Troubleshooting slow running queries.- Good to have Knowledge in SSIS and SSRS configuration and migration of packages and migration reports.- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data in case of failures or disasters.- Test and document recovery procedures to minimize downtime.
