We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Financial Analyst – FP&A, reporting to the Senior Manager – FP&A, this full-time and permanent position is based in Mumbai, India and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Group Finance team and its’ growth.
The role will be covering group-level FP&A management reporting & planning processes, and providing an opportunity to interact with key members of our finance team globally. The incumbent will work as a part of a team of 3 financial analysts and will join a community of Finance specialists based in our Global Service Center in Mumbai, India.
Key responsibilities:
Support group-wide month end closing
- Take ownership of part of the P&L and interact with representatives of the Controllership team at group-level and in countries, to ensure completeness and accuracy of underlying management information; ensure cost centers are properly applied, all variances vs. budget and forecast can be explained; monitor integrity of selected intercompany recharges
- Contribute to the rolling forecast process: provide updates to input templates as needed; coordinate with country FP&A managers and group business partners, within area of responsibility, to ensure reasonableness of forecast; implement controls to validate integrity of forecast
- Assist Senior Manager in consolidating monthly results, and providing first-level analysis for FP&A business partners
Support centralized planning activities in one or several of the following areas
- Load and validate data to financial models; support the data life cycle in the system
- Contribute to compensation modelling activities;
- Manage the position management process (creation of budgeted positions, elimination or modification of budgeted positions, creation of variance positions)
- Support planning of all intercompany transactions, working closely with groupwide Finance and FP&A managers
Management Reporting and Analysis
- Support the production of management reports, ensuring that the financial information presented is accurate and consistent across reports; propose enhancements to the way the information is presented
- Provide compensation & non-compensation reporting and analysis, maintain relevant databases.
- Provide ad hoc analysis as requested
Systems & tools
- Help maintain collaboration tools (e.g. SharePoint)
- Develop knowledge and comfort of SAP/ SAP Analytics Cloud; create ad hoc reports or enhance existing reports
Key requirements:
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in FP&A.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field; qualified accountant preferred
- Experience working with financial planning and reporting systems (preferred); familiarity with SAP and SAC preferred
- Tech savvy, with ability to learn quickly new applications
- Strong attention to detail, data integrity and accuracy
- Robust analytical skills, with ability to build large financial models
- Proficiency in MS Excel & MS PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with global stakeholders
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written
