Overview:


  • The Model Risk Analyst will complete ad hoc analyses to drive business decisions and create reporting to demonstrate portfolio performance.
  • The Model Risk Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Risk department in the regular review of model performance and population stability.
  • The Model Risk Analyst will assist in the completion of existing model review procedures and the implementation of new reports and procedures related to model governance.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all tasks and reporting.
  • Proactively communicate status or issues impacting timeliness of reporting and/or task completion.
  • Present findings and suggestions from analyses to various levels of management.
  • Work with model risk management team to pull data for compliance audits.
  • Support the model governance review process.
  • Cross-train to other Risk functions (similar in responsibility) to ensure redundancy within the Risk team.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.


Position Requirements:


Degree in Business Intelligence/Analytics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent work experience is preferred.


  • 3-5 years of job-related experience in a credit card/financial services environment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the credit card issuing business required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Proficient knowledge of standard office equipment including PC skills with emphasis using Microsoft products.
  • Experience with T-SQL, and Reporting Platforms.
  • Familiarity with a statistical modeling software such as R, SAS, or Python.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing environments.
  • Sound decision making ability.
