Job Overview :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Guidewire PolicyCenter Conversion Data Analyst to support data migration initiatives from legacy policy administration systems to Guidewire PolicyCenter.

This role is critical in ensuring data quality, integrity, and alignment with business and regulatory requirements throughout the conversion lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyze and interpret legacy data to support its transformation and migration into Guidewire PolicyCenter.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to define data mapping, transformation rules, and conversion logic.

- Work closely with developers to create, validate, and refine ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) scripts and data models.

- Develop and execute data validation, reconciliation, and audit checks to ensure successful conversion.

- Identify and resolve data quality issues, discrepancies, or gaps in source and target systems.

- Document data dictionaries, mapping specifications, conversion strategies, and post-migration reporting.

- Perform mock conversions and support dry runs and production cutover activities.

- Assist QA teams with test planning and conversion-related test cases.

- Provide support during UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and post-go-live stabilization.

- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications :

- 3+ years of experience in data conversion or data migration, with at least 12 years in Guidewire PolicyCenter projects.

- Strong experience in SQL for data extraction, analysis, and transformation.

- Solid understanding of Guidewire PolicyCenter data model and core configuration concepts.

- Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS) and data integration pipelines.

- Experience working with legacy policy admin systems (e.g., AS/400, Mainframe, or other proprietary platforms).

- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with large data sets.

- Effective communicator with ability to explain technical details to non-technical stakeholders.

- Experience in Agile environments and comfortable using tools like JIRA, Confluence, Excel, and Visio.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Guidewire Cloud or PolicyCenter 10.

- Prior experience with personal or commercial lines of insurance.

- Knowledge of Gosu, XML, JSON, or API-based data handling is a plus.

- Guidewire certifications in PolicyCenter or DataHub are a strong advantage.
