Job Summary

Create flexible printed circuit designs and rigid multilayer printed circuit boards to meet battery module and packaging requirements.


Main Responsibilities

  • Edit and revise existing component placement, routing, outlines, and constraints as needed to meet product requirements.
  • Analyze routing and designed system for creepage and clearance for the FPC as well as FPC to rest of the battery module and pack.
  • Work with System, Mechanical, Manufacturing engineering, and FCP/PCB vendors to optimize design layout.
  • Support comprehensive design reviews and documentation to initiate and answer all DFM feedback.
  • Main contributor/owner in the development of innovative Lithium-Ion battery pack and module design for automotive and industrial applications as it relates to FPC designs.
  • Making decisions and recommendations that have impact on FPC Designs and related activities of the group.
  • Team player with the ability to work effectively in group settings.


Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years of layout experience with exceptional understanding of FPC layout, manufacture, and constraints.
  • Must know how to use Altium Designer software for printed circuit boards.
  • Flexible printed circuit materials knowledge is required.
  • PCB design Experience is a must from schematic, footprint, Routing and layer construction analysis by using PCB Design Software (Cadence Allegro, Mentor Graphics Expedition, Mentor Graphics PADS).
  • 3D modelling experience is a plus (SolidWorks).
  • MS degree or Equivalent.
