We have openings for Technical Writer professionals at Bangalore location.Total Experience: 2+Years to 9yearsRole: Technical WriterWork Location: Bangalore (Manyata Tech park)Mode of Work: 5 Days Working from OfficeSalary: Case to case basisJob Description:Purpose of the JobThe Technical Writer is responsible for creating, managing, and continuously improving technical documentation for Black Box’s product portfolio, with a strong focus on KVM, AV, and IoT solutions that enable our Control Room & Command Canter strategy. This role works closely with Product Management, R&D, and cross-functional teams to ensure documentation is accurate, user-friendly, and aligned with product lifecycles and customer needs. The writer will also leverage AI-driven tools and processes to enhance efficiency, consistency, and scalability of content development.Primary Roles & Responsibilities- Produce and maintain technical documentation, including Technical Data Sheets, Application Notes, Product Specification Sheets, Reference Manuals, Training Documentation, How-To Guides, and Technical Web Content for internal and external audiences. - Collaborate with Product Management and R&D teams to ensure documentation accurately reflects product features, functionality, and updates across the KVM, AV, and IoT product portfolio. - Apply AI-based content development and editing tools to improve authoring, translation, content reuse, and version control. - Translate complex technical ideas into clear, concise, and engaging content for diverse audiences (administrators, system integrators, developers, non-technical users). - Study internal processes, drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples to create precise and usable procedures. - Analyze existing and potential content to maintain continuity in voice, style, and technical accuracy across all documentation. - Manage updates and revisions across channels (web, print, partner portals) and ensure accuracy across all systems. - Support the development of control room strategy content, highlighting how Black Box solutions integrate and provide value. - Anticipate documentation challenges and propose proactive solutions to ensure high-quality deliverables within project timelines.Skills, Knowledge, Abilities- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills with strong attention to detail. - Strong technical aptitude and ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Proficiency with AI-powered content creation/editing tools and openness to adopting emerging technologies in documentation. - Effective collaboration skills with Product Management, Engineering, and R&D teams. - Ability to quickly learn new technologies, product specifications, and business processes. - Strong organizational and project management skills; capable of balancing multiple priorities. - Ability to mentor and share best practices across the business. - Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate documentation strategy to leadership and stakeholders.Education/Experience Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Technical Writing, or related field (or equivalent work experience). - Technical/Engineering education is preferred. - 3+ years of technical writing experience, preferably in high-tech product manufacturing or related industries. - Experience working with documentation management systems, AI-driven authoring tools, MS Office, and Adobe Creative Suite. - Familiarity with KVM, AV, IoT, or related Control Room technology domains preferred.if interested, please do share below details along with your profile to vijitha.k@blackbox.comTotal experience:Rev experience into Technical Writing:Do you have experience on KVM/ IOT/AV domains:CTC:Exp CTC:Notice period:Cur Location:Pref location:Cur company:Any offers in pipeline:Education qualification:Are you comfortable for 5 days working from office:Are you comfortable with Manyata location (Bangalore):Reason for change:
