Business Development Manager

Purisight is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive business growth for our partner, Colatta, a leading provider of high-quality bakery and pastry ingredients, known for innovation and excellence. This role is focused on expanding Colatta's presence in the Kerala region, with potential to expand into other Indian markets, by building strong relationships with clients and driving business growth. This position will be based in Kochi, Kerala.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to grow Colatta's market presence.
- Identify and establish partnerships with bakeries, pastry chains, and distributors.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to drive sales.
- Collaborate with the technical team to introduce and promote Colatta's bakery solutions.
- Explore and develop new business opportunities within the bakery and pastry sector.
- Maintain accurate sales records and reports using CRM software.
- Report to the Regional Sales Manager.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Colatta product sales within the assigned region.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5-6 years of proven experience in business development or sales within the food and beverage industry, with a strong preference for experience in the bakery and pastry sector.
- Strong industry network with bakeries, pastry brands, and food service businesses in Kerala and other Indian states.
- Strong knowledge of bakery ingredients, such as chocolate, fillings, and dough improvers.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to travel extensively within the Kerala region and other states of India.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
