Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Sous Chef specializing in modern South Indian cuisine. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of traditional dishes while bringing innovation through contemporary culinary techniques. Strong leadership, creativity, and a commitment to quality are key to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Menu Development:
- Work with the Head Chef to design modern South Indian menus.
- Experiment with new dishes using local ingredients and innovative techniques.
Kitchen Management:
- Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety standards.
- Train and mentor staff, manage inventory, and control costs.
Quality Control:
- Ensure dishes meet high standards of quality and presentation.
- Maintain consistency in food preparation and service.
Customer Engagement:
- Interact with guests when needed and gather feedback.
- Collaborate with front-of-house for seamless service. \
Innovation & Trends:
- Stay updated on culinary trends and continuously enhance skills.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in South Indian cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of modern culinary techniques.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred.
