Description:About the RoleWe are looking for a passionate and experienced Software Development Engineer II (SDE II) with strong expertise in Node.js to join our engineering team.You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs.As an SDE II, you will play a key role in shaping architecture decisions, mentoring junior developers, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our development practices.Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, test, and deploy backend services and APIs using Node.js and related technologies.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, product, QA, DevOps) to define, design, and deliver high-quality features.- Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to system design decisions.- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.- Implement security and data protection best practices.- Troubleshoot and debug issues across the production environment.- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers.- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in backend and Node.js ecosystems.Required Qualifications :- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.- 36 years of professional experience in software development.- Strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and asynchronous programming concepts.- Hands-on experience with Express.js, NestJS, or similar backend frameworks.- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems.- Experience working with databases - both SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis).- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).- Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and attention to detail (ref:hirist.tech)
