Delivery Lead - Quant Modeling with Acuity Knowledge Partner


Job Role :


- The role will lead the risk modeling and quantitative research team and responsible for the day-to-day production and future development of quantitative risk models and statistical analyses to be used across the Firm's credit portfolios for use in risk analysis/measurement and in portfolio reporting used by risk management, portfolio management and the Firm's senior leadership.


- The candidate must possess an ability to synthesize and explain technical innovations in financial engineering and data science into practical, understandable application by the risk management and portfolio management groups.


- Strong communication skills will be needed to interpret and explain the output of the models to a broader audience.

- Manage a team of quantitative analysts and developers responsible for the production of quantitative risk modeling and statistical analysis for a $56+ billion complex of credit portfolios spanning all manner of corporate credit, structured credit and private credit.

- Maintain and expand the department's current library of proprietary risk models and applications.

- Develop a collaborative partnership with other key stakeholder groups, including risk and client reporting, portfolio management, technology and treasury.

- Work directly with front office users to provide ad hoc risk hedging advisory to front office on specific portfolio or deals.

- Continually work to improve the consistency and sophistication of the risk management and reporting process.

Requirements :

- 10+ years of experience in development of quantitative financial models used in a risk management or quantitative research context for credit products.

- Significant hands-on programming experience using C++, Intex, Python, SQL, R or some combination thereof.

- Meaningful experience and understanding of quantitative analysis and credit modeling of structured products (Agencies, RMBS, ABS, CMBS, CDOs, CLOs).

- Some experience with modeling derivatives.

- Strong people management skills with proven ability to lead teams of highly technical personnel and to form inter-departmental partnerships with critical support functions.
