Walmart Cross Border Trade (CBT) team is seeking to hire Business Development (BD) Managers to identify potential ecommerce sellers in focus categories, onboard and incubate the accounts before the accounts move to account management team. CBT team supports international sellers on Walmart Marketplaces (MP). You will join a high performing & motivated team working on a mission to help thousands of Indian sellers to sell globally on Walmart MP.
As an BD Manager, you will be identifying top partners across focus categories as per the demand patterns on Walmart MP. Provide guidance to sellers on account setup, product setup and train the sellers on various MP policies and best practices. You will work with various stakeholders and teams across the Walmart organization both locally and internationally.
What are you expected to do?
Since the business is being setup from scratch, you get the opportunity to work on the 0-1 journey of CBT business. You will own specific business portfolio and create your own playbook for managing business at scale.
Develop ways of working with internal and external stakeholders and build short-term & long-term business deliverables.
Work on improving seller onboarding TAT and ensure CBT is able to onboard sellers quickly as per the AOP
Support sellers during the onboarding journey, make them comfortable with the seller center and MP policies. Guide the sellers on best practices across item setup, fulfillment methods and operations
Drive high engagement with newly onboarded sellers and set them up for success before the accounts move to account management teams
Work closely with the account management team and gather requirements to get sellers in focus categories
Basic Qualification
· Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers
· 7+ year relevant experience in business development roles

· Ability to make decisions in the face of ambiguity
· Hunger to deliver, matched with resilience when things don’t go our way the first time
· Willingness to roll up our sleeves to get things done
· Excellent communication skills: ability to work directly with all levels of our Seller’s organization
· Enjoy working as a team, but have the ability to own outcomes and work autonomously
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA from Tier 1/2 campus with good academic record
- Work experience of 7-10 years in BD
- Deep understanding of e-commerce. Experience with e-commerce, retail, advertising, or media would be an advantage
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Exposure to the start-up environment is an added advantage
- Structured problem solving, i.e., Identifying and solving problems through process enhancements
- Ability to prioritize tasks - attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
