Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team focused on security products and projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux, Windows, and VMware environments, with proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools and languages such as Java, Python, Unix Shell, Powershell, or their equivalents.

As a Senior SRE, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our security infrastructure. You will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and robust systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable infrastructure across Linux, Windows, and VMware environments.
  • Automation & IaC: Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Java, Python, Unix Shell, Powershell, or similar languages to automate deployment, monitoring, and management processes.
  • Monitoring & Performance: Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure system health and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve issues proactively to minimize downtime.
  • Security Compliance: Collaborate with security teams to ensure all systems comply with industry best practices and organizational security policies.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Design and manage Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure seamless and secure code deployments.
  • Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery strategies and solutions to ensure high availability and quick recovery in case of system failures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, security professionals, and operations, to deliver reliable and secure services.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures to support team knowledge sharing and onboarding.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a similar role with a focus on security products/projects.
  • Operating Systems: Strong experience with Linux and Windows systems administration.
  • Virtualization: Expertise in VMware or similar virtualization technologies.
  • Programming/Scripting: Proficiency in Java, Python, Unix Shell, Powershell, or equivalent languages.
  • IaC Tools: Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
  • CI/CD: Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
  • Security Focus: Strong understanding of security best practices, compliance requirements, and vulnerability management.
  • Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a high-pressure environment.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as SRE, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, RHCE, or similar.
  • Security Certifications: Security certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CEH are a plus.
