VOIP Provisioning Analyst

The Provisioning Analyst I is responsible for managing and coordinating telecommunication carrier processes, including understanding, initiating, and handling ILEC/CLEC facility requests for services like T1, PRI, ADI, HSIA, Ethernet, OCN, IXC, POTS, DIDs, Broadband, VOIP, and Fiber. This role requires technical expertise in provisioning, VoIP system management, and a commitment to ensuring service delivery within established timelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Telecommunication Service Management:

o Prepare and submit Access/Local Service Requests (ASR/LSR/SI) for loop, transport, cross-connect, Ethernet NNI, and related services.

o Coordinate with carriers to manage critical installation dates and milestones.

o Escalate orders and liaise with vendors/carriers when necessary.

2. VoIP System Management:

o Design, configure, and deploy VoIP systems to meet organizational needs.

o Maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot VoIP infrastructure.

o Provide technical support for VoIP-related issues and monitor system performance.

o Set up and manage VoIP user accounts and permissions.

3. Database and Order Management:

o Monitor work-in-progress databases to ensure timely service delivery.

o Maintain accurate records of order statuses, including order numbers, circuit IDs, FOC documentation, and milestones.

4. Process Improvement:

o Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve efficiency and quality.

o Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives.

o Provide feedback on proposed changes to internal procedures.

5. Documentation and Support:

o Create, maintain, and update internal documentation.

o Act as a resource to assist team members and provide expertise as needed.

o Serve as a backup for other Provisioning Analyst positions when required.

6. Specialized Tasks:

o Load Mac/IMEI into Netsapiens/Broadsoft switch for equipment registration using OEM portals (e.g., ZTP).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

 Minimum of 3 years of experience in VoIP engineering, telecommunications provisioning, or a related field.

 Technical aptitude and knowledge of wireline telecommunications technologies and terminology.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Proficiency in VoIP protocols, technologies, and standards (e.g., SIP, Broadsoft, soft switches).

 Experience with VoIP hardware/software systems (e.g., PBX, IP Phones, and Voice Gateways).

 Knowledge of relevant IT systems, including VOM, BOSS, SharePoint, COM, Telecare, QuickBasic, and Loki.
