Title: Trade Forex Relationship Manager (Treasury & FX Specialist)Function: Relationship Manager / Treasury SalesExperience: 6-12 YearsLocation: ChennaiRole Summary:The Trade Forex Relationship Manager is a specialized individual contributor role, responsible for the end-to-end execution of foreign exchange (FX) transactions, risk management, and strategic advisory services for the bank's corporate and institutional clients.This position requires significant experience (612 Years) in the Trade Forex domain, combining market expertise, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to be highly Responsive and Result Driven in a high-stakes trading environment.The incumbent will focus on growing the portfolio's Current Account business through expert FX product sales and robust client relationship management.Primary ResponsibilitiesTrading and Risk Management:- Execute real-time foreign exchange trades on behalf of the bank and its Corporate Clients or institutional counterparties, ensuring optimal pricing and execution efficiency.- Strategically manage the bank's own currency risk exposure arising from client flows and proprietary positions, implementing appropriate hedging instruments against unfavorable market fluctuations.- Implement rigorous internal controls to monitor trading positions continuously throughout the trading day, strictly ensuring adherence to established internal risk limits and regulatory mandates.Research and Analysis:- Conduct comprehensive fundamental and technical analysis of global financial markets, scrutinizing economic indicators (e.g., inflation, interest rates) and geopolitical events that directly impact currency values and market sentiment.- Utilize advanced analytical tools and financial software (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters) to process data, generate forward-looking market forecasts, and proactively identify potential trading opportunities for clients and the bank.Client Relations and Advisory:- Build and maintain deep, trusted Client Relationships with key treasury and finance contacts at corporate entities to gain a granular understanding of their hedging needs, trade flows, and financial objectives.- Provide expert advisory services on a wide array of treasury products (e.g., forwards, options, swaps) and complex trade finance options (e.g., Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees).Sales and Business Development:- Collaborate strategically with core Relationship Managers to actively acquire new clients requiring FX and treasury services, driving growth in the high-value Current Account segment.- Proactively promote the bank's entire suite of forex products and services, working to systematically expand the bank's business footprint with both new acquisitions and the existing client base.Required Key Skills- Trade Forex Expertise: Extensive, verifiable experience (6-12 years) in executing and managing Trade Forex and treasury transactions.- Risk Management: Proven knowledge of currency risk management principles, hedging strategies, and adherence to internal trading limits.- Market Analysis: Strong technical ability in fundamental and technical analysis for global financial and currency markets.- Client Relationship Management: Demonstrated success in managing and growing complex Corporate Clients through advisory and expert service delivery.- Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of spot, forwards, options, and other derivatives, as well as Retail Forex and trade finance products.Preferred Skills:- Possession of relevant professional financial certification (e.g., CFA, FRM, ACI Dealing Certificate).- Direct experience with proprietary trading platforms and electronic communication networks (ECNs).- Strong technical proficiency in financial modeling and data visualization tools.- Experience adhering to regulatory frameworks (e.g., FEMA, RBI guidelines) governing foreign exchange transactions in India.- Post-graduate qualification in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration (ref:iimjobs.com)
