Company Overview:

Inuka is collaborating with a leading renewable energy investment platform that is seeking a Senior Manager for Project Finance & Investment in Mumbai. This role will be pivotal in managing the financial and investment aspects of the company's renewable energy projects, driving growth, and ensuring successful project execution.


Role Overview:

The Senior Manager of Project Finance & Investment will be responsible for managing the financial structuring and investment analysis of renewable energy projects. The candidate will play a key role in evaluating investment opportunities, structuring deals, and negotiating terms with stakeholders, as well as ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory requirements. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support the company’s strategic investment goals and ensure the successful execution of projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the financial analysis and structuring of renewable energy projects, including conducting due diligence, risk assessment, and financial modeling.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and structure deals to optimise returns while minimising risks, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including banks, investors, and regulatory authorities, to secure funding and negotiate favourable terms.
  • Prepare detailed financial models, investment memos, and presentations for senior management and the board, highlighting the financial viability and strategic fit of proposed investments.
  • Monitor and manage ongoing financial performance of projects, including managing budgets, forecasting cash flows, and ensuring compliance with covenants and financial obligations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key investors, financial institutions, and partners to support fundraising activities and secure capital for new projects.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the executive team based on market trends, investment opportunities, and project performance metrics.
  • Support the negotiation and execution of project finance agreements, including loan documentation, equity agreements, and other financing instruments.
  • Ensure all projects are in compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices related to renewable energy investments and project finance.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree (MBA) or CFA certification will be considered a strong advantage.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project finance, investment analysis, or financial management, with a focus on renewable energy, infrastructure, or related industries.
  • Proven experience in financial modeling, deal structuring, and managing investment transactions in the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape and compliance requirements for renewable energy projects in India and globally.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage relationships with external stakeholders, including financial institutions and investors.
