Position Summary

As a ServiceNow Automation Engineer with a specialization in ATF, you will be responsible for

developing, maintaining, and executing automated test cases within the ServiceNow environment. You will work closely with our ServiceNow developers, administrators, and QA

teams to ensure that all changes are thoroughly tested and meet quality standards before

deployment.


Key Responsibilities:

Automated Testing: Design, develop, and execute automated test cases using ServiceNow’s Automated Test Framework (ATF) to validate the functionality of applications and modules within the platform.

Test Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders to define test strategies that align with business requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Integration: Integrate ATF into CI/CD pipelines, enabling continuous testing of ServiceNow applications and ensuring that automated tests are part of the deployment process.

Test Case Management: Create and manage reusable test cases, test suites, and test plans

within ServiceNow, ensuring they are maintained and updated as required.

Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects using ServiceNow, working closely with developers to resolve issues and ensure high-quality releases.

Collaboration: Work with ServiceNow developers and administrators to understand new features, enhancements, and bug fixes, and to ensure these changes are appropriately tested.

Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for ATF test cases, testing procedures, and test results.

Training & Support: Provide guidance and training to team members on the use of ATF and

best practices for automated testing within ServiceNow.


Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience working with ServiceNow, with specific expertise in the Automated Test Framework (ATF).

Technical Skills: Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities, including scripting in ServiceNow (JavaScript, Glide API) and hands-on experience with ATF.

Automation Tools: Experience with other test automation tools is a plus.

CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps, and integrating ATF within these pipelines.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related

field (or equivalent experience).


Preferred Qualifications

1. ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist or Certified Application Developer.

2. Experience with ITSM, ITOM, or other ServiceNow modules.

3. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
