About the Role


We are seeking a Field Application Engineer with expertise in Battery Management Systems (BMS) to support and validate BMS applications on-site. This role involves travel and requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting, configuration, and installation of IoT-enabled systems. You will be part of an innovative team that collaborates directly with clients and engineers to deliver customized solutions in the battery technology sector.


Key Responsibilities


Field Validation & Support

  • Conduct on-site testing and troubleshooting of BMS applications at customer locations.
  • Configure, flash, and test IoT-enabled BMS systems.
  • Supervise hardware installation, including wiring and mounting of battery packs.


Technical Assistance & Customer Interaction

  • Partner with customers to understand technical requirements and deliver solutions tailored to battery pack projects.
  • Provide on-site support during installation, commissioning, and validation of BMS integrations.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues with the engineering team’s support.


Technical Expertise & Development

  • Utilize C/C++ for embedded system development on platforms like Arduino, STM, Raspberry Pi, or ESP.
  • Conduct PCB soldering, basic assembly, and circuit integration.
  • Use Multisim and Proteus for circuit simulation, and tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes for on-site diagnostics.
  • Ensure functionality of communication protocols such as CAN, UART, and SPI within the system.


Additional Contributions

  • Support R&D projects focused on energy storage and product advancement.
  • Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and preparing technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software engineers on innovative product developments.


Qualifications

  • Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with a focus on Battery/BMS technology.
  • Experience: Hands-on experience in C/C++ embedded systems design and development with at least four projects on platforms like Arduino, STM, Raspberry Pi, or ESP.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Multisim, Proteus, and PCB soldering, with a solid understanding of CAN, UART, and SPI protocols.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of battery systems, automotive applications, electric vehicles and energy storage solutions is a plus.
  • Communication & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to work effectively with clients and resolve issues independently.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel and adapt to varying field conditions.
