Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience to join our dynamic and innovative team


The ideal candidate will oversee the creation and management of BI and analytics solutions, transforming data into valuable insights, and possess a comprehensive understanding of the ELT and ETL processes.


Responsibilities


1. Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into actionable insights and reports

2. Experience collaborating with stakeholders, including business analysts, data scientists, and IT teams to understand business needs and deliver high-quality solutions

3. Maintain and support data analytics platforms. Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting while improving existing BI systems

4. Collaborate with database administrators and other teams to ensure the efficient operation of SQL databases and conduct analyses

5. Identify and implement performance-tuning strategies to enhance the efficiency and speed of data-warehousing queries and data-processing tasks

6. Create visualizations and reports for requested projects and update technical documentation

7. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data-warehousing technologies (preferably Snowflake) to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team


Skills & Expertise


1. Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Scientist

2. Relevant experience of 4+ years

3. Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining

4. In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework

6. Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude

7. Strong Python programming and SQL databases

8. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills

9. Good to have knowledge/experience on AWS or any other cloud platforms

10. BSc/BA/BE in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
