Job Description


- Runs the Scrum/Agile iterative development processes to lead on-time delivery of product backlog user stories.

- Organises daily Scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings as a key part of the Agile team.

- Leads the Scrum process across digital and project teams ensuring that goals, scope, and product domains are understood by everyone on the team.

- Leads collaboration with Scrum masters to improve the application of Agile practices and cross-collaboration for delivery execution.

- Safeguards project resources and direct corrective measures to ensure project success.

- Identifies resource gaps and inform the programme and project manager to support and enable resource managers for outsourced services as needed.

- Highlights impediments, risks or blockers on timely basis with the team. Tracks to closure using either Agile Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) or collaboration tools.

- Drives communication between technology and BT Group through targeted communications and fostering open dialog with team members.

- Contributes towards the continuous evaluation and updating of the backlog with new or modified user stories that are decomposed, estimated, prioritised, and assigned to future iterations.

- Mentors other Scrum Master professionals, helping to improve the team's abilities by acting as a technical resource.

- Champions, continuously develops and shares with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in Scrum processes.

Skills :

- Proven experience of agile delivery management across complex portfolios of digital projects.

- Experience of waterfall delivery management.

- Experience of Scrum and Prince2 methodologies, and proven application of these to successful delivery.

- Experience of methods, tools and planning used in digital projects.

- Experience in all aspects of systems delivery, transition and management, both of back-office and customer-facing systems.

- Excellent stakeholder management skills and understanding of strategic and tactical business change needs in IT projects.

- Coaching, influencing, negotiating and interpersonal skills.

- Management and delivery of large and complex projects within a corporate environment.

- Experience working with multiple stakeholders across multiple departments to deliver a vision or goal with various moving parts

Experience :


- Proven experience in the role of an agile delivery manager mastering delivering cross-functional change using Agile (i.e. across business and technology)

- Demonstrated coaching experience, with a strong servant leadership philosophy.

- Demonstrated experience fostering and empowering high performing teams.

- Experience of working across a wide range of internal and external technology suppliers to align plans and deliver business outcomes.

- Context-specific Agile techniques (e.g. XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, TDD, Automated Testing, etc.)
