Job description At The Pant Project ( we are on a mission to bring comfort and confidence to every Indian. Backed by one of the leading textile makers of the world, we are building a fashion brand from India for the world. We have been recognized as one of India’s leading emerging D2 C Fashion Start Ups 2 years in a row. We are currently looking for a Store Manager who will take complete ownership of the store and also ensure the customer gets the right pants and the right experience in store. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and is a professional who will help deliver exceptional service to our growing customer base. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of working in front end consumer facing brick and mortar stores and will be completely familiar/well versed with store operations. Candidates that have prior work experience with apparel brands would be preferred. Key Responsibilities: • Responsible for the smooth and effective functioning of the store. • Meet sales targets and profitability metrics of the store • One of the major responsibilities of the store manager is to make the customers feel safe and comfortable in the store. It is their key responsibility to make sure that the customers receive top notch service even if the customer doesn’t intend to make a purchase leaves the store with a pleasant smile. • Follow trust processes and guidelines for store operating procedures • The store manager is responsible for managing the assets, security and safety in the store • The store manager must ensure that sufficient inventory is available at the store to avoid being - out of stock Hiring and Training: • Hire Sales Executive for the stores • Support in the training and growth of the Sales Executives Skills: • Experience in Managing Medium/High End Retail Store for a fashion brand • Excellent communication skills (Hindi, Kannada and English), both verbal and written in addition to strong interpersonal skills • Ability to maneuver around the sales floor, stockroom and office Financials: • Ability to operate cash register and office computer and other equipment (tablets, MS Office, QR's etc) • The store manager must make sure his store is meeting the sales targets, optimizing costs to ensure consistent store profitability Inventory management: • Responsible for planning, managing profit and loss, handling cash at the store as well as collating daily sales as well as other necessary reports Store Upkeep: • Ensure the store is kept clean • Ensure shelves and racks are properly stocked and products do not fall off the shelves • Ensure mannequins are kept at the right place to attract the customers into the store and rotated frequently • Ensure the merchandise should be according to the season as well as the latest trends • Ensure the store is well lit, ventilated and offers a positive ambience to the customers • Ensure the signage displaying the name and logo of the store is installed at the right place and viewable to all
