service engineer installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment and systems for clients to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include performing diagnostic tests, conducting routine maintenance, resolving technical issues, and providing on-site technical support and client training. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent customer service and communication skills, and a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.  

Responsibilities

Installation & Commissioning:

Install and set up new equipment, systems, and hardware for clients. 

Maintenance & Repair:

Perform routine maintenance, conduct diagnostic tests, and troubleshoot technical problems to repair equipment and ensure optimal performance. 

Customer Support:

Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients, resolve their issues, and provide training on the proper use of equipment. 

Documentation:

Keep accurate service records, document all activities, and prepare service reports for management and clients. 

Collaboration:

Work with other technical staff, engineers, and departments to resolve complex problems and improve service quality. 

Inventory Management:

Manage and maintain an inventory of necessary spare parts and tools for repairs. 

Safety Compliance:

Ensure all operations and maintenance activities comply with safety and regulatory standards. 

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

A bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field, such as mechanical, electrical, or a related discipline. 

Technical Proficiency:

Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and the ability to diagnose and repair complex machinery. 

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. 

Experience:

Prior experience in a service engineering or technical support role is beneficial. 

Industry Knowledge:

Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technological advancements to improve equipment performance and reliability.
