Job Description: Wealth Management based Retirement, Pensions and Superannuation – SME – P1/P2

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Wealth Management based retirement, pensions, or superannuation SME with a deep understanding of current and emerging Wealth Management based retirement markets and solutions.

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in understanding wealth-based retirement markets globally and be able to analyse and identify emerging trends and opportunities; provide options and solutions for global wealth and retirement platforms and their peripheral application requirements; and have familiarity with underlying Wealth products and legislative/regulatory implications.

As a Wealth Management based Retirement and Superannuation SME the successful candidate would play a critical role in shaping our Global Retirement program and related initiatives. The role will require;

  • A mix of Product / Solutioning / Pre-sales and services in Wealth & Asset Management / Financial services
  • Relevant degree in business, finance, or accounting
  • 12+ years’ experience working in a retirement based financial services business, consultancy, fintech, Digital or technology provider in BFSI (primarily in Financial Services, Wealth & Asset Management, Retirement and Superannuation).
  • Deep understanding of the functional and technology aspects Wealth, Asset Management and Retirement Domain
  • Fundamental understanding of legislative and regulatory obligations of the sector
  • Deep analytical and critical evaluation skills and ability to research markets, products, systems, and solutions related to the domain.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Capable of Independently handling engagements/discussions etc.
  • Fintech / Wealth Tech / Product Skill Set with relevant Project experience.
  • Client and Sales Interaction.
  • Engagement Experience with Wealth, Retirement, Superannuation, Asset Management Clients.
  • Strong financial capabilities and acumen
  • Organised, structured and professional
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project; Confluence, JIRA

Responsibilities:

Wealth & Retirement, Pensions, Superannuation Processes:

  • Assist in the establishment of TechM’s Wealth based retirement, pensions and superannuation strategy and value proposition development, including defining market opportunities, tech and service solution opportunities, architecture, and operational process opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Wealth Management Services.

Wealth Management and Retirement Value Chain:

  • Possess a holistic understanding of the Wealth, Retirement, Pension and Superannuation value chain, including customer onboarding, account management, digital, wealth and retirement platforms and products, financial planning, investments, insurance, legislation/regulatory implications, client reporting, and customer experience. / Private Banking and Family Offices/ Regulations around Wealth Industry
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancements across the value chain.

Product Knowledge:

  • Be well-versed in underlying Wealth and Retirement products, Investment and Retirement Platforms, Preferable Wealth Platform Product skills, Distribution Platforms, Financial Planning, Tools, Digital, Annuities, defined benefit and define contributions.
  • Application of AI in Wealth and Decisioning

Fintech Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with fintech partners to enhance wealth management offerings.
  • Evaluate and onboard relevant fintech solutions to augment our digital services.
  • Stay updated on emerging fintech trends and technologies.
  1. Researcher, Tender Consultant, Market Intermediary
  • Collaborate with market making partners and researchers to enhance retirement offerings.
  • Evaluate and onboard relevant retirement solutions to augment our suite of services.
  • Stay updated on emerging retirement trends and technologies.
  • Gain detailed insights into markets, competitors, clients, and regulators.

Technical Expertise:

  • Provide technical insights to development teams during the implementation of digital wealth management solutions.
  • Regulatory and compliance expertise
  • Ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Engage with internal stakeholders (business, IT, compliance, risk) to drive digital transformation initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with external partners and vendors.

Qualifications:

  • Education: MBA (Financial Services) / Computer Sciences or relevant Business, Finance, Accounting qualifications.
  • Certifications (Desired): Relevant certifications in project management, agile methodologies, or Wealth Certifications

Desired Skills:

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Wealth Management platforms, Retirement Platforms, Digital, APIs, payment systems and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and security protocols.
  • Knowledge of data analytics, business intelligence and reporting tools.

Domain Expertise:

  • Experience in transforming traditional retirement providers and wealth platforms into digital-first, straight through processes operating environments.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management in Wealth and Retirement.

Collaboration Skills:

  • Ability to work closely with fintech partners, market makers, research, negotiate contracts, and build strong relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
