About the Toilet Board Coalition:
Founded in 2015, the Toilet Board Coalition accelerates business solutions to the global sanitation crisis. The Coalition facilitates vital partnerships between small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), corporates, NGOs, investors and governments who share a commitment to achieve access to sanitation and hygiene for all by 2030 (SDG 6).
Through its sector-leading Accelerator, the Coalition provides business model coaching, corporate mentorship and access to investment to Sanitation Economy entrepreneurs serving low-income markets. To date, the Coalition has graduated 70 SMEs, impacting more than 3 million people daily and unlocking US$33 million in finance. Its 80+ Members’ diverse approach to sanitation proudly leads to essential innovation in toilet design, circular recovery of biological resources, and smart digital technologies to ensure safe and sustainable sanitation for all.

We are growing our team in Asia and looking for an individual, who is hands-on and passionate about business leadership in the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. If you haven’t yet worked in water and sanitation – don’t be intimidated – many of our team were new to the sector when we joined. We love recruiting fresh talent and perspectives to the cause
- A natural leader who communicates objectively and openly, an active contributor to organisational agenda.
- A degree in business, sustainability, or communications.
- At minimum, three years’ experience in grant proposal writing, management and reporting
- Experience with third party stakeholders, and understanding of best practices for partnership development and stakeholder management with track record of setting up successful stakeholder outreach and relationship building strategies.
- Ability to communicate and interact within diverse environments (employees, influencers, customers, etc.).
- 2-3 years project management experience desirable.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Khmer a must.
- Familiarity with the Cambodian market and a professional network in Cambodia is highly desirable.
- Self-starter with the ability to create and build programmes from the ground up.
- Strong event management and organisational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and sound business judgment to identify issues and present creative and practical solutions.
- Ability to work successfully in multicultural teams and across boundaries.
- Strong client service orientation with an openness to feedback and new ideas.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to travel.
What you’ll do:
- You will work with the Asia Accelerator Associate on the fulfillment of a new award focused on Cambodia. This will include leading stakeholder engagement in the region, all grant management and reporting.
- Alongside this activity you will be a part of the Business Development team and lead activities in Asia, contributing to other grants in India and pursuing further funding in the region.
- This role will report to the Associate Director Communications and work with colleagues in the Communications and Business Development team.
