Description & Requirements


Essential Functions of the Job:

• Lead and develop teams to execute all origin import fulfillment processes to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of inventory along the supply chain from origin countries to retail market’s warehouse facilities.

• Operate a broad line of business at division or country level, developing long range plans

• Drives optimization of import fulfillment pathways for the best ROI by analyzing Wal-Mart and supply chain partners’ competencies, mitigating risks and developing contingency plans to meet changing business needs

• Develop and build partnerships internally (cross-functionally) and externally to drive import fulfillment business.

• Facilitate effective communication to ensure current and updated process and requirement are understood and implemented by all related parties.

• Provide expertise and insight to associates analyzing the process and procedure of import fulfillment in order to identify cost reduction and strategic improvement opportunities

• Drive and develop trainings to GS as well as related parties such as external sourcing agents, import suppliers and retail markets counterparts on import fulfillment process & procedures to obtain maximum collaboration.

• Develop and implement people strategies, including effective performance management, to ensure talent pipelines and succession planning.



Specific Duties and Accountabilities of the Job:


1) Directs and optimizes supply chain execution across multiple categories/portfolio and business plans to ensure retail market is in possession of optimal inventory at highest in-stock.

- Develops methods to deliver KPI goals

- Influence and collaborate with different parties in sourcing organization and retail markets to ensure in-stock and inventory metrics are achieved

- Analyze trends in financial performance and external market factors to proactively align resources to address future challenges

- Integrate results of team analytics to influence cross-functional team decisions

- Aligns, develops, and directs resources to achieve objectives and financial results

- Developing and communicating business plans and priorities with retail market to meet financial goals


2) Oversee and manage teams and business assigned to ensure targets defined are met and at highest customer satisfaction :

- Oversee daily execution of all import fulfillment processes and procedures and removing barriers and obstacles that impact performances

- Manage daily inventory strategy and operations

- Manage all functional strategies, processes, and tools

- Evaluate and alter work processes to ensure defined targets are met


3) Engage with cross function parties (Internal/External) to formulate and execute strategy to drive import fulfillment business :

- Ensure business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, projects, programs, and initiatives

- Collaborate on corporate or divisional strategic initiatives by influencing project design; evaluating and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness


4) Formulate and drive execution of business plans and improvement projects

- Identify customer and operation needs

- Develop and communicate plans and priorities and provide resources

- Identify performance standards, measure progress and adjust performance accordingly

- Develop contingency plans


5) Build and develop highly effective and competent teams :

- Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce

- Recruiting, selecting and developing talent

- Coach and provide strategic guidance to drive teams to grow to higher level of responsibility and competence

- Managing associate performance

- Succession planning

- Establish performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations

- Provide recognition and rewards


6) Assume additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed



Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements:

• Technically accomplished in all aspects of replenishment.

• Fully engaged with the retail market, suppliers, logistics, and merchants in successfully operating a board line of business.

• Able to effectively lead projects and improvement initiatives.

• Can articulate needs, define requirements and design cross-functional projects and initiatives, utilizing status to direct man hours to the issues that provide the greatest payback.

• Able to effectively recruit and build teams to deliver results for the company and catalyze team commitment to high performance standards.

• Considered as an outstanding manager and leader both inside and outside replenishment.

• Strong planning and organizing skills to mobilize and leverage resources to achieve pre-determined objectives.

• 4 to 8 years of leadership experience.

• Good command of English and local language.

• Proficient in PC skills including MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
