CEAT - Manager - Costing & Budgeting

Job Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of robust costing methodologies, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and evolving accounting standards (IND-AS).- Drive process improvement initiatives, leveraging techniques like QIP and Kaizen to enhance efficiency and accuracy within costing and budgeting functions.- Conduct comprehensive cost analysis, including pre-costing activities, conversion cost analysis, and evaluation of capital expenditure proposals.- Play a key role in the physical verification of assets and inventory, ensuring data integrity and compliance with internal audit requirements.- Champion digitization efforts within the costing and budgeting domain, identifying and implementing technology solutions to streamline processes and enhance data visibility.- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information, provide cost insights, and support decision-making processes.- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, contributing to a high happiness index within the Finance department.- Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, proactively adapting costing practices to maintain compliance and drive continuous Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.- Proven experience in a similar costing and budgeting role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.- Strong understanding of costing principles, methodologies, and relevant accounting standards (IND-AS).- Demonstrated experience in process improvement initiatives and leveraging analytical tools for cost optimization.- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different levels of the organization.- Proficient in using relevant software applications, including ERP systems and data analysis tools.- A proactive and results-oriented individual with a strong commitment to accuracy, compliance, and continuous Budgeting- Analytical Mindset- Driving Continuous Improvement- Cost Management- Working with Financial Information- Critical Thinking- Communicating EffectivelyDesired Skills and Experience- Costing, GST, "plant accounting" (ref:iimjobs.com)
