Remuneration:Salary+ ESOPs + Performance Bonuses Location:Gurgaon, India Career Growth:To be groomed forCTO role in 2 years About the Role We seek a self-propelled, passionate, inspirationaltechnology and software engineeringleadertocontemporize, optimize, and scaleour cloud-hosted multi-tenant integrated enterprise grade SaaS platform and IoT solutions for Healthy and smart workplace application which can meet global standards and related compliance requirements This is ahigh-impact rolefor someone who has an innate ambition to undertake: Contemporize legacy stacks(PostgreSQL, Spring Boot, Angular/Flutter) with AI/ML integrations. Identify and develop new applications based on user feedback , desk research and market studyfrom Product team and in discussion with the Co-Founders Developinga lean and efficient team(2 X software engineers + 1X IoT hardware & firmware engineer + QA/QC + 1 X UI/UX designer + 2 interns) along with an on-demand ‘ready bench strength’ for mobilizing new project led customization/s, continuous mentorship-, task and performance governance of the team members , team member engagement initiatives, to name a few. Driving smartinnovationthat impact cost of ownership, uptime, accuracy and ease of use in IoT-cloud communication, API scalability, and cost-efficient cloud ops. Taking over the overall CTO and working closely with the CEO /Co-Founderby owning the tech strategy and delivery/execution efficiency, business impact, obsolesce and cost mitigation controls, 3rd party partnerships, R&D and continuous innovationand cross-functional leadership. In this stage also participate with the Co-Founders in fund raise discussion with investor and funds. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Responsibilities Partner with Founders to shape company vision and align technology accordingly. Define and monitor technology KPIs. Lead tech org structure, hiring strategy, and culture-building initiatives. Drive innovation by evaluating new technologies and setting long-term R&D agenda. Represent technology in investor pitches & board meetings2. Technical Ownership Refactor andsharpen & securing existing cloud stackfor performance, security, and cost. Ideate, design ,develop new software application in collaboration with the business and products team IntegrateAI/ML models(predictive analytics, LLMs, automation) into workflows. Designmulti-tenant APIsand optimize PostgreSQL for high-throughput workloads. ImplementIoT protocols(MQTT, WebSockets) for device-cloud data pipelines.3.Team Leadership Mentor engineers inSpring Boot, Angular, Flutter, and C++(for IoT/edge modules). Instilbest practices(CI/CD, microservices) without over-engineering. Collaborate with sales & product teams toalign tech with business goals .4. Product & Business Strategy Alignment: Work closely with the product team to define product roadmap and user experience strategy. Translate business goals into technical milestones5. Governance, Compliance & Data Security: Define and implement data governance, compliance, and cybersecurity policies (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR). Oversee regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. 6. Tech Budgeting & Resource Planning: Prepare and manage the annual tech budget, cloud cost forecasts, and vendor spend. 7. CTO Growth Path Year 1:Own technical roadmap, vendor partnerships, and R&D initiatives. Year 2-3:Transition intostrategic leadership(budgets, hiring, investor/board tech reviews).Skills Required Must-Have ✔ Early-stage startup experience , Demonstrates consistently high moral and ethical beliefs, Ready to hustle, Stay firm in the face of daunting timelines, customer expectations, internal deadlines and unforeseen risks and challenges, Frugal development approach , High quality orientation ✔Backend:Spring Boot, Python/Node.js (for AI/ML pipelines), C++ (IoT/performance) ✔Frontend:Angular (legacy), Flutter (future mobile apps) ✔Database:PostgreSQL (query optimization, replication) ✔Cloud:GCP/ AWS/Azure (Lambda, Kubernetes, Terraform) –cost optimization focus ✔AI/ML:Practical experience with NLP, LLMs,for data insight and predictive analytics ✔Built/scaled multi-tenant SaaS or IoT-cloud pipelines. ✔ Open-source contributions or side projects (GitHub link).Nice-to-Have ✔ Knowledge & Exposure to ·embedded systems/Raspberry Pi/Arduinofor IoT prototyping. ·IoT Protocols:MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, BLE/Zigbee (experience with real devices) Ideal Candidate Profile 7-10 yearsin software development, with3+ years leading teams . Proven track recordon micro services based applications and building a platform , scaling APIs, and shipping cloud-native products. Entrepreneurial mindset– balances tech excellence with business pragmatism.
