If you’re passionate aboutdata analytics, report automation, and transforming business data into actionable insights— we’d love to connectRole OverviewThe SSRS Report Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), transforming raw data from databases into actionable visualizations for business users. This role works closely with stakeholders, developers, and clients to understand reporting needs, optimize queries, and deliver clear, performant, and insightful report outputs.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with business analysts, clients, and technical teams to gather detailed reporting requirements. Design, develop, and maintain interactive, parameterized reports and dashboards using SSRS. Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data from relational databases (MS SQL Server preferred). Implement data visualizations, summarized tables, charts, and custom report formats based on stakeholder needs. Ensure all reports are clear, actionable, and optimized for performance and scalability. Conduct unit testing and troubleshoot report errors, issues, or data discrepancies. Deploy, schedule, and manage report delivery within the SSRS environment, including permissions and subscriptions. Prepare technical and user documentation for deployed reports and dashboards. Provide support and training to end-users regarding report navigation and interpretation. Stay up to date with best practices in SSRS, SQL optimization, and business intelligence reporting.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. 3-5 years hands-on experience in SSRS report development. Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation. Solid understanding of relational database concepts (MS SQL Server preferred). Experience with report parameterization, drill-through, and visual elements in SSRS. Exposure to performance tuning and optimization techniques for large datasets. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with clients and cross-functional teams.Good-to-Have Skills (Preferred)Experience integrating SSRS with other platforms (ERP/CRM systems, Power BI, etc.). Knowledge of ETL processes or data warehousing concepts. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum project environments. Exposure to cloud reporting platforms or migration projects.
