Job Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Oracle EBS Technical Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in implementing and supporting Oracle EBS R12 applications, specifically in the Finance and Supply Chain Management (SCM) modules.


The role will require expertise in technical areas such as SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Workflow, XML/BI Publisher, and RICE components (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, and Extensions).


You will work closely with the functional team to deliver high-quality solutions to clients and assist in enhancements, support, and rollouts.

Key Responsibilities :

Implementation & Support :

1. Lead and support Oracle EBS R12 technical implementations, specifically within the Finance (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) modules.

2. Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

3. Provide support and maintenance for existing Oracle EBS implementations, including bug fixes, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.

Technical Expertise in Oracle EBS:

1. Work with RICE (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions) components in Oracle EBS R12 to meet business requirements.

2. Develop, customize, and enhance Oracle Forms, Oracle Workflow, and Oracle Alerts to support business processes.

3. Create and manage SQL and PL/SQL scripts for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting.

4. Develop and customize reports using XML Publisher and BI Publisher.

Enhancements & Rollouts:

1. Work on system enhancements and upgrades, including new features, patches, and application rollouts across multiple business units and regions.

2. Collaborate with project managers and functional consultants to deliver on-time and within-budget technical solutions.

3. Ensure smooth integration of Oracle EBS with third-party applications and systems.

Custom Development :

1. Perform customizations and extensions in Oracle EBS, ensuring they meet client-specific requirements while maintaining the integrity of the system.

2. Develop and manage integrations with external systems, using Oracle's integration tools or custom solutions.

Testing & Documentation :

1. Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests for custom solutions.

2. Prepare technical documentation including functional specifications, design documents, and user guides for custom solutions and implementations.

Client Interaction & Support:

1. Engage with clients to gather requirements, provide regular updates, and ensure technical solutions are aligned with business needs.

2. Assist clients in resolving technical issues during the implementation and support phases.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Experience :

1. 6-8 years of experience in Oracle Applications R12 (EBS), with strong hands-on expertise in Finance modules (GL, AR, AP, FA, CM) and SCM modules.

2. 2-3 full implementation projects in Oracle EBS, including experience in support, enhancements, and rollouts.

Technical Expertise :

1. Strong programming skills in SQL, PL/SQL for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.

2. Experience with RICE components (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions).

3. Proficiency in Oracle Forms, Oracle Workflow, and Oracle Alerts.

4. Experience with XML Publisher and BI Publisher for report development.

5. Knowledge of Oracle APEX for developing web-based applications is a plus.

Implementation & Support :

1. Hands-on experience in implementing Oracle EBS R12 Finance and SCM modules.

2. Knowledge of integration techniques for linking Oracle EBS with third-party systems.

Technical Documentation :

1. Ability to create technical documentation (including functional specifications, solution designs, and test cases).

Communication Skills :

1. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.

Preferred Skills :

1. Oracle EBS R12 certification(s) in relevant modules is a plus.

2. Experience in Oracle Cloud or knowledge of hybrid cloud solutions is an added advantage.

3. Familiarity with India Localization and GST modules for Oracle EBS is a plus.
