Position : Senior Microstrategy Developer
Purpose of the position:
The associate will be responsible for building comprehensive data-focused solutions that adhere to business objectives. The associate must evaluate functional and technical business requirements and be able to transform them into conceptual/logical data models and then help create MSTR schema and subsequent objects. The associate will be responsible for partnering with key business stakeholders to develop solutions that adhere to corporate architecture standards. To be successful in this role, one must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced agile environment and work with minimal supervision on multiple concurrent projects.
Location: Pune/Nagpur/Bangalore/Chennai
Key Result Areas and Activities:
Design and Development: As a MicroStrategy subject matter expert for a broader team, you will optimize MicroStrategy projects and reports to achieve faster query execution and data retrieval. You will also design and develop dashboards and reports per client requirements, ensuring they feature appealing visualizations. Additionally, you will maintain comprehensive documentation of MicroStrategy projects, including architecture, design decisions, and processes, for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Standards and Quality Orientation: You will be responsible for enforcing MicroStrategy best practices, naming conventions, and coding standards to maintain consistency and manageability of projects. Additionally, if needed, you will be required to provide training sessions and support to end-users, developers, and analysts on MicroStrategy tools and functionalities.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization: You are expected to regularly assess the performance and scalability of MicroStrategy solutions, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary optimizations. Additionally, you will provide expertise on migration and upgrade activities for MicroStrategy projects, ensuring smooth transitions to new versions or environments. You will also be responsible for providing feedback and reports on system usage and potential bottlenecks.
Client Advisory and Support: You are expected to provide user support in project and release development. Additionally, you will liaise with the MicroStrategy support (Product) team when required to resolve identified issues and limitations, applying the necessary solutions. You will also provide specialized advisory and consulting services to new and existing customers, share relevant advisories, address unmet needs, expand relationships, manage client expectations, and maintain assigned utilization.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with onshore and offshore teams, including developers, analysts, business users, and other stakeholders, to ensure effective communication and alignment of project goals
Work and Technical Experience:
Essential Skills
• Proven Expertise in MicroStrategy Development: Extensive experience in MicroStrategy development with a solid understanding of data and dimensional modelling concepts
• In-Depth Knowledge of MicroStrategy Architecture: Comprehensive understanding of MicroStrategy architecture, components, and tools
• Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams, serving as the primary point of contact (SPOC) for business interactions, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Advanced Design and Development Capabilities: Proficient in designing and developing schemas, documents, dossiers, and reports within the MicroStrategy environment
• Experience with MicroStrategy Schema and Architecture: Robust experience with MicroStrategy's architecture and schema design, ensuring optimal data structure and performance
• Expertise in Data Modelling: Strong grasp of data modelling concepts, enabling the creation of efficient and scalable BI solutions
• BI Reporting and Performance Optimization: Hands-on experience in business intelligence reporting and performance tuning, ensuring high-quality deliverables and optimized system performance
• Exposure towards PowerBI- Develop, publish, and schedule Power BI reports and dashboards.

• Balanced Analytics Solutions: Ability to deliver analytics solutions that strike an optimal balance between architectural requirements, effort estimations, and client-specific needs
• Proficiency in Multiple Analytics Platforms: Expertise in working with various analytics tools, including Tableau, Power BI, and others
• Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Strong awareness of the latest trends in analytics, business intelligence, and data visualization, ensuring innovative and forward-thinking solutions • Exposure to BI Migration Project
Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus) • Demonstrated continued learning through one or more technical certifications or related methods • At least 7+ years of relevant experience in MicroStrategy
