About the Corporate Development department:The Corporate Development team at Cognite works with teams across the company on a wide variety of strategic initiatives.

The team of five has grown to become an integral part of advising the senior management team on company direction.

The Corporate Development team work in the intersection of strategy and finance and primarily focuses on four areas:.

Corporate finance including M&A, investor relations, fundraising and equity program management; 2) strategic partnership development; 3) new business development; 4) Running high-stakes cross-company initiatives and strategy.

We are strengthening our team with a Director of Corporate Development.

A typical day as a Cogniter in the Corporate Development team may contain some of the below tasks & responsibilities:

- Lead processes related to strategic business development and running fundraisings, acquisitions, partnership processes or other high-stakes relationships (OEM, new business development, resellers, technology partners).

- Contribute to Cognite's M&A agenda as a key contributor to Cognite's growth.

- Together with the CEO and the Senior Leadership Team, help articulate Cognite's corporate strategy and run corresponding strategic cross-functional initiatives.

- Help drive efficient processes towards Cognite's Board of Directors and key shareholders to ensure they are up-to-date on the progress of the company and make efficient decisions.

- Building out our Partner Network, including close work with companies across the Aker ecosystem.

- Engage with the investor network with investor relations support including building towards a potential IPO.

- Collaborate with finance on corporate finance tasks, including KPIs and reporting.

- We believe some of these should match your experience.

- 3-6 years experience in Consulting, Corporate Finance, M&A, Investment Banking, Venture/startup, or Corporate development.

- Curious and passionate to learn about software and technology technical understanding, e. from an engineering background (software or other) is a plus.

- Ideal candidates will have completed a Master's degree or similar in Engineering, Finance, Business or alike.

- Profound interest in how technology can solve key business problems in the industrial world.

- Strong operational grit and ability to get stuff done.
