Role : Solace Engineer - Assistant Vice President : Pune

Role Overview :
As a Solace Engineer, youll be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing middleware infrastructure critical to global operations.
Your focus will be on automation, observability, incident resolution, and driving best practices in DevOps, cloud computing, and platform engineering.
What You'll Do :
- Engineer and maintain infrastructure platforms to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
- Drive automation to streamline processes and reduce manual effort using scripting and DevOps tools.
- Monitor systems proactively, investigate incidents, and reduce mean time to resolution through data-driven problem-solving.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand infrastructure requirements and integrate seamlessly with application and business needs.
- Implement secure configuration practices to safeguard against vulnerabilities and cyber threats.
- Continuously explore emerging technologies, contribute to tech communities, and promote innovation within the engineering teams.
What You Bring to the Table :
Essential Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Sound troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux or Windows environments.
- Basic scripting capabilities (Shell, Python, etc.)
- Familiarity with relational databases.
- Understanding of DevOps methodologies and Agile lifecycle processes.
- Awareness of ITIL frameworks and service delivery.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Desirable Skills (Good to Have) :
- Hands-on experience in middleware administration in a global 24x7 support setup.
- Exposure to messaging technologies such as Solace or Tibco RV.
- Knowledge of trade lifecycle and front-office technology in investment banking.
- Experience with service management/ticketing tools and workflow systems.
- Familiarity with job schedulers like Autosys or similar platforms.
AVP-Level Expectations :
- Provide strategic direction and contribute to operational efficiency across technology and infrastructure.
- Lead and mentor technical teams or act as a senior individual contributor guiding key initiatives.
- Take ownership of complex issues, influence decision-making, and collaborate across business units.
- Strengthen control frameworks, contribute to governance agendas, and mitigate operational risks.
- Communicate technical and operational complexities clearly to diverse stakeholders.
