Job Title: Information Technology Support Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT professional to join our team as an Information Technology Support Specialist. This role is designed for recent graduates or entry-level candidates with foundational knowledge in IT, providing an opportunity to apply learning in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic first-level technical support to employees by responding to queries related to hardware, software, network connectivity, and user accounts under supervision.
  • Assist in setting up and configuring new workstations, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices for employees.
  • Support routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, system patches, and antivirus scans.
  • Help manage and track IT assets and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Participate in user account creation, modification, and password management, primarily in GWS and JAMF MDM environments.
  • Monitor helpdesk tickets and escalate issues to senior engineers as needed, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Assist in network troubleshooting activities including connectivity problems, VPN setup, and printer configuration.
  • Document technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and common solutions for knowledge base improvement.
  • Support the IT team in small projects, such as software deployments, hardware upgrades, and security audits.
  • Follow company policies and best practices for IT security, data privacy, and compliance.
  • Participate actively in training and development sessions to build technical skills and product knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Recent graduate or final year student of Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering (Freshers are encouraged to apply).
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware components and operating systems (MacOS/Windows/Linux).
  • Familiarity with IT asset inventory, mac OS, basic networking, and user account management.
  • Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts including IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.
  • Basic understanding of security concepts such as firewalls, antivirus solutions, and patch management is a plus.
  • Interest in learning scripting languages like PowerShell or Bash is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Strong willingness to learn, problem-solving aptitude, and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and work under supervision.

  • Certifications like Networking, Microsoft Fundamentals, ITIL or equivalent will be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated initiative and a proactive approach to resolving issues and learning new technologies.
