Key Responsibilities :

AppDynamics Agent Configuration :

- Install, configure, and manage AppDynamics machine agents and Java agents across various tech stacks such as Tomcat, WAS ND, Genfire, Tibco BW, Microservices, and others.

- Implement AppDynamics machine agent extensions for diverse tech stacks, including Webserver, Nginx, IBM MQ, and Tibco EMS.

- Ensure that all AppDynamics agents are properly configured to meet application monitoring and reporting requirements.

Dashboard and Reporting :

- Create custom dashboards and reports using AppDynamics to monitor application performance, availability, and business transaction health.

- Provide insights into system health by analyzing the data collected through AppDynamics agents.

Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution :

- Troubleshoot issues related to nodes not reporting in the controller after agent installation.

- Address and resolve issues related to agent configurations, application performance, and data collection discrepancies.

- Manage agent upgrades and ensure correct implementation of agent logs for troubleshooting.

JVM Configuration :

- Understand and configure the required parameters in JVM arguments for AppDynamics to ensure the optimal performance of Java applications.

- Handle issues related to JVM argument configurations and monitor the effect on application performance.

Migration and Configuration Management :

- Coordinate and manage the migration of applications from one AppDynamics controller to another, ensuring all configurations and agent settings are transferred accurately.

- Implement configuration changes required for system migrations or upgrades.

Unix Command and Permissions :

- Apply basic Unix commands for system management, including ownership and permission changes related to AppDynamics agents and configurations.

Support and Monitoring :

- Provide ongoing support and monitoring, working in rotational shifts as needed for support engagement.

- Utilize AppDynamics to monitor applications, set up alerts, and resolve performance issues in real-time.

Collaboration and Communication :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business transactions, troubleshoot issues, and optimize application performance.

- Effectively communicate technical findings, issues, and resolutions to the team and management.

Learning and Upskilling :

- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AppDynamics and related technologies.

- Show a willingness to upskill and learn new technologies based on project needs.

Required Skills :

AppDynamics Expertise :

- Hands-on experience in AppDynamics machine agent installation, configuration, and management.

- Knowledge and experience with AppDynamics Java agent installation and configuration for multiple tech stacks.

- Proficiency in creating custom dashboards and reports in AppDynamics for performance monitoring.

- Familiarity with troubleshooting node reporting issues in AppDynamics controllers.

Technical Knowledge :

- Knowledge of JVM arguments and AppDynamics configuration for Java applications.

- Experience with Unix commands for system management and file permissions.

- Understanding of application migration processes within AppDynamics environments.

Problem Solving and Troubleshooting :

- Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues related to AppDynamics agents and performance.

- Ability to triage performance issues and provide solutions through AppDynamics tools.

Communication and Collaboration :

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide support for various AppDynamics-related tasks.

Willingness to Learn :

- Willingness to continuously upskill in AppDynamics and related technologies based on project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with Microservices and monitoring technologies.

- Familiarity with AppDynamics Controller, Alert Setup, and Business Transaction Identification.

- Experience in handling Agent Upgrades and AppDynamics troubleshooting.

- Knowledge of Familiarity with AppDynamics integration into other monitoring systems or enterprise environments.
