We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Statutory & Compliance Officer to oversee and manage the financial and compliance aspects of our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in the Factory Act, Gratuity, Provident Fund (PF), Employees' State Insurance (ESI), and Bonus regulations, along with proven experience in a manufacturing environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial management and regulatory compliance within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to the Factory Act, Gratuity regulations, PF, ESI, and Bonus provisions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations and ensure compliance across all areas.
- Financial Management: Oversee and manage all accounting functions, including general ledger management, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
- Payroll Management: Supervise payroll processing, including the calculation and disbursement of salaries, bonuses, and other benefits. Ensure accurate deductions and contributions for PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements.
- Gratuity and Bonus Administration: Manage and administer gratuity and bonus calculations and payments. Ensure timely and accurate compliance with statutory provisions.
- Audit and Internal Controls: Conduct internal audits to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. Identify areas for cost reduction and process improvements.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and organized financial records. Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports as required.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals. Provide training and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Stakeholder Interaction: Liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders as necessary. Address and resolve any compliance or financial issues that may arise.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of [7] years of experience as an Accounts Manager or in a similar role within a manufacturing industry.
- Expertise: Extensive knowledge of Factory Act, Gratuity, PF, ESI, and Bonus regulations. Proven track record of managing compliance and financial functions in a manufacturing setting.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
