ABOUT JOB
Designation: PDP Trainer
Role Purpose : To design and develop customized learning plans for students for their professional and personal development.
A. Knowledge
A.1 Curriculum Development:
- Design and update training modules on Verbal Aptitude, Communication Skills, and Soft Skills tailored to the needs of B.Tech, MCA, and MBA students.
- Incorporate placement exam patterns, interview requirements, and business communication skills into the curriculum.
- Develop customized training plans for students based on their skill levels and areas of improvement.
A.2 Classroom and Practical Training:
- Conduct interactive classroom sessions on Verbal Aptitude (grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, verbal reasoning) and communication skills (writing, speaking, listening).
- Provide practical soft skills training, covering essential topics such as public speaking, interpersonal skills, teamwork, conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, and leadership.
- Facilitate role-plays, group discussions, mock interviews, and presentations to give students real-life practice.
A.3 Assessment and Feedback:
- Organize regular assessments, quizzes, and mock tests to evaluate students' verbal and communication skills.
- Provide constructive feedback, helping students improve their verbal fluency, grammar usage, and overall communication confidence.
- Offer personalized feedback to students to address individual challenges and communication barriers.
A.4 Professional Development:
- Train students in drafting professional emails, resumes, cover letters, and other job-related documents.
- Help students develop effective interview techniques, including answering behavioral and situational interview questions.
- Prepare MBA students for business presentations, negotiations, and professional networking in corporate settings.
A.5 Placement Preparation:
- Conduct mock interviews, group discussions, and written tests, mimicking placement scenarios.
- Provide tips on improving body language, voice modulation, and building a strong professional presence during interviews and interactions.
- Mentor students in handling high-pressure situations and building self-confidence for placement drives.
A.6 Performance Tracking:
- Regularly monitor the progress of students through tests, presentations, and one-on-one sessions.
- Report student performance to the training coordinator or placement cell, highlighting areas that need improvement.
- Adjust the training methodology based on individual or group performance to maximize learning outcomes.
A.7 Cross-Departmental Coordination:
- Coordinate with the placement cell and industry partners to understand specific communication skills required by companies visiting the campus.
A.8 Use of Technology:
- Utilize digital tools and platforms to create interactive verbal practice sessions, online assessments, and virtual communication workshops.
- Offer students access to online resources, reading materials, and vocabulary-building apps.
A.9 Motivation and Confidence Building:
- Provide regular motivational sessions to help students overcome shyness, hesitation, or communication-related anxiety.
- Develop students’ confidence by engaging them in public speaking exercises, debates, and spontaneous communication activities.
A.10 Industry-Relevant Training for MBA Students:
- Focus on advanced soft skills such as client communication, business writing, corporate etiquette, and negotiation skills, relevant for MBA students. - Train MBA students to articulate business analysis, give impactful presentations, and lead discussions during corporate interviews and case study rounds.
B. Functional Skills
- Expertise in Verbal Aptitude like Grammar/Vocabulary/Reading/Comprehension/Reasoning etc.
- Knowledge of digital tools, online learning platforms, and resources for training and assessments.

D. Qualification & Years of Experience as per norms:
- A graduate or postgraduate degree in English, Communication, Business Administration (MBA), Human Resource Management, or a related field.
- Certification in Soft Skills Training, Behavioural Training, or Personality Development Industry & Global Experience is desirable.
