- Architecture Frameworks, TOGAF, Large, strategic & complex deals/bids, lead solution development, multi-tower, win-theme/strategy, presales, techno commercial, thought leadership.
Responsibility of a Lead Solution Architect includes:
- Defines major technical projects for customers or Fujitsu, influencing their view of acceptable investment level.
- Determines strategies, architectures and proposals
- Lead a Team of Solution Architects and SMEs to deliver a Solution for Customer
- Manage a large design team, defining the approach to a complex solution development including identification of strategic level risks and remedies
- Contribute in building the opportunity business case and qualifying the business
- Providing presales support to include consultancy around current cost of delivery, potential solution models and approaches, benefits analysis and input into provocations and early engagements
- Validate Bid Budget.
- Contribute to the assessment of bid budgets and plans with the sponsoring executive in order to manage the deliverables, control of costs, quality and time
- Experience of working on at least 4 - 6 large and complex deals that are more than 100Mn USD TCV
- Lead scoping workshops and the production of a storyboard to an appropriate level of detail
- Define Solution Tenets and Solution Theme. Create a High-Level solution blueprint for the opportunity, identifying the key solution elements, operating model, and delivery approach
- Combine knowledge of Fujitsu service offerings, skills and experience, knowledge of the marketplace, market trends and to design and propose compelling solutions.
- Work with customers to understand their business strategy and develop IT strategies and architecture for significant areas of their business
- Identify solution options that are competitive and that offer the best fit against the customer requirements, exploring all solution possibilities (standard and non-standard service offerings) and challenge line of business/service tower status-quo, where necessary
- Solution validation and compliance. Actively, manage and coach medium solution teams to ensure what is being designed meets the requirements, is deliverable and is optimized, utilizing Fujitsu best practice where possible to create differentiation against the competition and value add for the customer
- Consolidating the Solution together with Inputs from the Tower Leads, SMEs and Domain Architects
- Take ownership of the end-to-end solution throughout the solution design lifecycle including its shaping, construction and reviews ensuring that all solutions have undergone peer review from management or delegate.
- Ensure that the overall solution (operating model/transition plan/solution design) is competitive and meets the customers business requirements.
- Responsible for owning the Solution Collaterals (E.g., AOD, KSVi, RCTM, RAID, Solution Blocks etc.). Architect to Provide inputs
- Contribute to the proposal deliverables and authoring activities taking ownership of the solution overview and any assigned response sections and provide guidance, support and coaching to authors and other contributors
- Advisory to the Financial Engineer for Solution Costing. Contribute to the commercial and financial approval process
- Participate in bid assurance, bid reviews, and defend the solution. Ensure all solution elements fully comply with the company’s governance and approval process
