Reports to:Vice Chancellor

Employment Type:Full-Time


Overview:

The Director of the School of Engineering and Technology at Noida International University (NIU) is a

key leadership role responsible for the overall strategic, academic, and administrative management

of the School. The Director will champion innovative engineering education, foster impactful

research, and build strong industry partnerships to position the School as a leader in technological

advancements.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Strategic Leadership:

- Develop and implement a strategic vision and long-term goals for the School of Engineering and

Technology.

- Drive innovation in engineering education, research, and industry engagement.

- Promote interdisciplinary collaboration within the university and with external partners.


2. Academic Excellence:

- Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of academic programs

in engineering and technology.

- Ensure the highest standards of teaching, learning, and research.

- Support and mentor faculty in their academic and professional development, research initiatives,

and scholarly activities.


3. Faculty Management:

- Recruit, develop, and retain a diverse and highly qualified faculty and staff.

- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide opportunities for professional growth.


- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes academic excellence and

innovation.


4. Student Success:

- Enhance student recruitment, retention, and success in both academic and professional pursuits.

- Support student-led initiatives, projects, internships, and placement activities.

- Foster a student-centered environment that encourages academic excellence and personal

growth.


5. Administrative Oversight:

- Manage the School's budget, resources, and infrastructure efficiently.

- Ensure compliance with university policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.

- Prepare and present reports on the School’s activities, achievements, and progress to university

leadership.


6. Community and Industry Engagement:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, alumni, and other stakeholders.

- Promote the School’s programs, research, and achievements through various platforms and

events.

- Engage in fundraising and development activities to support the School's initiatives and programs.


7. Quality Assurance:

- Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to maintain high academic and research

standards.

- Lead accreditation efforts and ensure continuous compliance with accreditation requirements.

- Regularly review and update curricular offerings to reflect current engineering and technological

trends and industry needs.


Qualifications:


- A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field from a recognized

institution.

- At least 10 years of academic experience with a strong record of teaching, research, and

administrative leadership in engineering or technology education.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage academic programs and initiatives effectively.

- Strong understanding of current trends and challenges in engineering and technology education.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

- Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the academic community.
