Role Summary: The role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company's insurance operations. The role entails the following responsibilities:
Policy Negotiation and Management:
Negotiate insurance policies with brokers
Lead advanced discussions with insurers in critical scenarios to secure favourable terms and conditions.
Ongoing insurer management:
Work with insurers and credit insurance brokers to support securing higher limits when necessary than initial granted to support commercial objectives
Ensure organization maintains up-to-date records of all credit insurance policies and related documentation.
Manage claims and protracted defaults with credit insurers through insurance brokers.
Process Improvement:
Continuously improve insurance operations processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline operations and reduce risks.
Oversight and Verification:
Act as a checker for the operations team's work, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all insurance-related activities.
Ensure all insurance operations adhere to relevant regulations and standards.
Team Training and Development:
Train commercial teams on insurance needs, processes, and best practices.
Develop and implement training programs to enhance the team's understanding of credit insurance products and market trends.
Collaboration and Reporting:
Collaborate with insurance brokers on regular reporting, including overdue reporting and premium calculations for credit insurers.
Support the reporting of insurance premiums to credit insurers and insurance brokers.
Provide timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders on insurance operations.
Product and Market Knowledge:
Maintain a deep understanding of products in the credit insurance market.
Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks.
Stakeholder Management:
Develop and maintain working-level relationships with key insurance brokers and credit insurers.
Support the preparation of insurance-related presentations and reports for senior management.
Strategic Leadership:
