Job Description:
Graviton is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Manager to oversee and manage end-to-end HR functions, payroll operations, immigration processes, and US tax compliance. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring HR operations align with company objectives and regulatory requirements in both the US and India.
This is a hybrid position based out of Indore, India, with some hours of overlapping to US work hours.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in HR, payroll, and administration.
- Strong knowledge of US and Indian payroll processes.
- Experience with US immigration processes and documentation and familiar with the US federal/state tax compliance (including EDD).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across time zones.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll and Benefits Administration:
- Manage full-cycle payroll for employees in the US and India.
- Define payroll and compensation policies; guide employees on changes.
- Oversee annual open enrollment and assist with benefits selection.
Employee Lifecycle:
- Conduct onboarding/offboarding via onboarding software like Zenefits.
- Draft and manage employment letters (offer, appointment, exit, etc.).
- Maintain asset logs and ensure employee tax locations are updated.
- Assign compliance trainings to ne joiners and track their progress.
US Immigration and Tax Compliance:
- Handle visa and work authorization processes.
- Liaise with immigration attorneys and ensure confidentiality.
- Maintain up-to-date records on immigration status and documentation.
- Monitor federal/state tax filings, including EDD compliance.
- Maintain registration documentation across states.
- Perform tax data analysis and respond to related queries.
Graviton Internal Support:
- Act as the primary point of contact for HR, payroll, and benefits queries.
- Clarify company policies and administrative procedures to staff.
- Promptly and actively respond to employee grievances as and when required.
Good to have HR day to day software and skills:
- Payroll processing
- Google Workspace / Microsoft Office – Communication & documentation
- US State Tax Portals & EDD systems – Tax compliance
