Galytix - Manual Tester - Defect Tracking Tools

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Test Execution : Execute manual test cases, document test results, and track defects.

- Defect Identification : Collaborate with developers and other teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects effectively.

- Test Case Creation : Write, review, and execute test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.

- SDLC Participation : Actively participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring testing milestones are met.

- Documentation : Document testing activities and provide detailed reports on test results, issues, and test coverage.

- Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product, and QA, to ensure software quality.

- Testing Best Practices : Follow industry-standard testing practices and methodologies to ensure thorough testing.

- Continuous Improvement : Contribute ideas for process improvements and help maintain high-quality standards across the team.

Qualifications & Skills :

- Experience : 3-4 years of experience in manual software testing, including test case execution and result documentation.

- Methodology Knowledge : Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodology.

- Testing Skills : Experience in writing and executing test cases, along with strong knowledge of software testing methodologies.

- Attention to Detail : Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify defects and suggest improvements.

- Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly identify issues and provide solutions.

- Team Player : Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.

- Communication : Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear reporting and documentation.

- Bonus Skills : Experience with automated testing tools is a plus.

- Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
