Responsibilities :
- ETL Testing : Perform end-to-end testing of ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Test Case Development : Create and maintain comprehensive test cases and test scripts for ETL and Reporting layer testing.
- Data Validation : Validate data transformation and data load processes to identify and report anomalies or discrepancies.
- Regression Testing : Conduct regression testing to ensure that changes or updates to ETL processes do not introduce new issues.
- Automation : Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python or Java programming languages to streamline the testing process.
- AWS Integration : Collaborate with the development and operations teams to test ETL processes deployed on AWS, including AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and AWS S3.
- Performance Testing : Evaluate the performance of ETL processes and identify bottlenecks or areas for optimization.
- Defect Management : Report defects and work closely with the development team to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Documentation : Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and testing procedures.
- Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the enhancement of testing :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in ETL testing and data validation; with experience of testing streaming and data-at-rest pipelines.
- Familiarity with AWS services, particularly AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and AWS S3.
- Proficiency in a programming language, preferably Python, and Selenium for data test automation.
- Databases : Should have experience in working on multiple database technologies like Oracle, Redshift, Athena etc.
- Strong SQL skills for data querying and validation.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Should have prior experience in using one or more ETL tools like Informatica, Talend
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
