Colan Infotech is looking for a skilled Java Software Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our team in Chennai. This is a crucial Full-Stack development role requiring strong expertise in both the backend Java ecosystem (Java 8+, Spring Boot, Microservices) and the modern frontend stack (React.js). The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable, secure applications leveraging AWS and contributing across the entire development lifecycle within an Agile environment.Key Responsibilities :Backend Development and Architecture :- Develop and maintain robust, high-performance backend services using Java 8+ and Spring Boot.- Apply mandatory knowledge of Microservices architecture principles, including experience with service communication, discovery, and resilience patterns.- Implement critical security features using Spring Security, JWT (JSON Web Tokens), and OAuth standards.- Design and implement secure, scalable REST APIs for communication between frontend and backend services.- Utilize AWS services for cloud deployment, infrastructure management, and service integration.Frontend Development and UX :- Develop user-facing features using React.js, demonstrating proven experience with state management libraries like Redux and Redux-Saga.- Write clean, semantic frontend code using modern standards: JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS.- Implement responsive and modern user interfaces utilizing frameworks such as Bootstrap and Material UI.- Ensure seamless integration using AJAX and proficiency in asynchronous programming concepts.DevOps, Quality, and Troubleshooting :- Use Git for version control and integrate with CI/CD tools to automate build, testing, and deployment processes.- Develop unit tests using frameworks like JUnit and Mockito (for Java) and Mocha or Jest (for React) to ensure code quality.- Apply strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills across both Java and React stacks.- Work effectively within Agile/Scrum teams, participating in all ceremonies and contributing to process improvements.Qualifications :- Experience: Mandatory 3+ years of professional experience in full-stack development, specifically using Java and React.js.- Backend Stack: Strong technical knowledge of Java 8+, deep expertise in Spring Boot (2.x & 3.x migration experience preferred), and Microservices architecture.- Frontend Stack: Proven proficiency in React.js, Redux, Redux-Saga, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, CSS, and UI libraries like Bootstrap/Material UI.- Security: Hands-on experience implementing security mechanisms using Spring Security, JWT, and OAuth.- Tools/Practices: Proficient with REST APIs, Git, CI/CD tools, Node.js, and NPM.Preferred Skills:- Experience with specific AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS) in a production environment.- Direct experience with performance profiling and tuning for Java microservices.- Knowledge of advanced asynchronous patterns and service resiliency in microservices architectures.
