Role Description

Seeking a freelance SAP Business One (SAP B1) specialist to implement automation across financial processes by integrating SAP B1 with external document management and approval platforms using APIs, AI/OCR, and the SAP B1 Integration Framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate SAP Business One with external platforms via API-based connections
  • Configure AI and OCR tools to extract invoice data from scanned documents and emails
  • Design and implement automated invoice approval workflows, including email/app-based approvals
  • Set up automated reminders and notifications for pending approvals
  • Use SAP B1 Integration Framework to post approved invoices as transactions
  • Develop error-handling mechanisms for failed API calls or data sync issues
  • Customize automation solutions to meet financial reporting and processing needs
  • Document integration architecture, workflow configurations, and exception handling procedures

Required Technical Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with SAP Business One and its Integration Framework
  • Proficient in API-based integration (REST/SOAP)
  • Experience with OCR and AI-based document extraction tools
  • Knowledge of workflow automation, including approval chains and escalation rules
  • Familiarity with cloud-based document management platforms (e.g., Dokka or equivalents)
  • Ability to independently deliver project-based automation solutions
  • Strong debugging and error-handling logic development
  • Clear technical documentation and process mapping skills
