Description : About the Role : We are seeking a Senior UI & UX Designer to join our Specialties Zone for athenaClinicals, an award-winning electronic health record (EHR) and medical practice management platform. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams - including Product Managers, Engineers, and other Designers - to craft engaging, intuitive, and scalable user experiences for healthcare professionals.As a key member of our product design team, youll drive the end-to-end design process - from research and ideation to prototyping and delivery - ensuring every interaction helps clinicians provide better, faster, and more efficient care.Key Responsibilities : - End-to-End Design Ownership : Lead the design process from concept to implementation for web and mobile experiences within the athenaClinicals platform.- User Research & Insights : Plan, conduct, and analyze user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews to identify user needs and pain points.- Experience Strategy : Translate business goals and user insights into wireframes, user flows, information architecture, and interaction models.- UI Development : Create pixel-perfect, high-fidelity UI designs aligned with brand and accessibility standards (WCAG compliance).- Collaboration : Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and UX Researchers to deliver high-quality, implementable designs.- Prototyping & Validation : Develop interactive prototypes using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or InVision to validate ideas and design hypotheses.- Design Systems : Contribute to and maintain consistency across the companys design system and component library.- Data-Driven Design : Use analytics and user feedback to iterate and improve product usability and performance.Required Skills & Qualifications : - Bachelors or Masters in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, or a related discipline.- 4+ years of experience designing digital products (preferably enterprise SaaS or healthcare systems).- Expertise in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent tools.- Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, responsive design, and accessibility standards.- Ability to translate complex workflows into simple, elegant user interfaces.- Strong portfolio demonstrating problem-solving skills, design rationale, and attention to detail.- Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate design decisions effectively.- Experience in agile/scrum environments and familiarity with developer handoff tools such as Zeplin or Figma Inspect.Preferred Qualifications : - Experience working on healthcare, EHR, or enterprise-scale platforms.- Familiarity with design tokens, UX metrics, and A/B testing frameworks.- Exposure to front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/React basics) is a plus.
