OverviewAs a New Product Development Mechanical Engineer you will play a crucial role in leading the design and development of innovative products. Your expertise in mechanical engineering and product development will contribute to the success of our organization by bringing new products to market and improving existing ones. You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure that the products meet quality cost and timeline objectives. Your attention to detail and problemsolving skills will be essential in this role as you strive to deliver highquality products that exceed customer expectations.Key responsibilities
  • Lead the mechanical design and development of new products from concept to production.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support the design process and ensure technical feasibility.
  • Create and review detailed technical drawings specifications and documentation using CAD software.
  • Collaborate with industrial designers and engineers to integrate aesthetics and functionality into product design.
  • Prototype and test mechanical components and systems to validate design concepts.
  • Ensure products comply with industry standards regulations and safety requirements.
  • Optimize product performance and manufacturability through continuous improvement and design iterations.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to transfer designs into production resolve issues and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in crossfunctional meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders to drive projects forward.
  • Contribute to cost analysis risk assessment and mitigation strategies for new product development projects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during product development and after product launch.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate into product development processes.
  • Drive innovation and contribute to the creation of intellectual property through patents and innovative design solutions.
  • Support product lifecycle management activities and contribute to product roadmap planning.
Required qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in new product development within the mechanical engineering domain.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software for mechanical design and drafting such as SolidWorks AutoCAD or CREO.
  • Strong knowledge of materials manufacturing processes and mechanical component design principles.
  • Experience in prototyping testing and validation of mechanical systems and components.
  • Familiarity with simulation and analysis tools for mechanical design validation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in crossfunctional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to apply engineering principles to realworld challenges.
  • Understanding of design for manufacturability assembly and cost optimization.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards safety requirements and product certification processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating highquality reliable products.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and drive projects to successful completion.
  • Experience in leading design reviews design failure mode and effects analysis (DFMEA) and design validation activities.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of mechanical engineering and new product development.
