Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead the mechanical engineering team and assume project leadership roles as required.
  • Client Communication: Engage directly with clients to provide innovative design solutions, manage expectations, and foster relationships with contractors, architects, and developers.
  • Proposal Preparation: Prepare detailed technical and financial proposals for prospective projects.
  • Workload Management: Oversee the workload of engineers and technicians to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Technical Specifications: Develop comprehensive technical specifications for projects.
  • Financial Monitoring: Monitor the financial performance of projects and manage job/project administrative systems, including planning and resource allocation.
  • Client-Facing Role: Actively participate in client interactions, contributing to business development efforts and relationship-building.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment to create environmentally responsive MEP designs, leveraging expertise in building physics and energy master planning.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s (BEng/BSc) or Master’s degree (MEng/MSc) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Proven track record as a mechanical engineer, with significant experience in design across various sectors.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor teams effectively.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical skills with a passion for delivering effective solutions to complex challenges.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills to build relationships with clients and team members.
  • Multidisciplinary Understanding: Familiarity with other design disciplines, particularly electrical engineering.
  • Client Engagement: Extensive experience in client-facing roles and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Domain Expertise: Knowledge of relevant codes and standards in mechanical engineering.
