Description : Role : Salesforce Test Engineer Job SummaryWe are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Salesforce Test Engineer to join Civica, a diverse software organization. This role requires extensive experience (3+ years) in all aspects of the Salesforce platform and testing lifecycle. The engineer will collaborate closely with the Salesforce team to ensure all projects are thoroughly tested and delivered in alignment with stringent business requirements, overseeing the entire process from requirements gathering through development, QA, and final release deployment.Primary Responsibility & Core Functions : Salesforce Testing and QA Ownership : - Oversee the entire testing process for Salesforce projects, ensuring alignment from initial requirements gathering through design, development, Quality Assurance, and final release deployment.- Responsibilities will span various development squads and sprints across multiple Salesforce clouds (Sales, Service/Support, and Experience Clouds).- Conduct Hands-on manual and automated Functional testing of new features, enhancements, and integrations within the Salesforce ecosystem.Specialized Testing and Quality : - Apply knowledge of Fundamentals of Non-Functional Testing (NFR) principles for at least two years to ensure system performance, scalability, and security.- Execute API Testing for integrations between Salesforce and external systems.- Perform Database Testing to validate data integrity, migration results, and complex report outputs within the Salesforce data model and connected databases.Process Management and Stakeholder Engagement : - Demonstrate strong proficiency in Test Management (3+ years), including Test Planning and Estimation for complex Salesforce initiatives.- Collaborate effectively with customers and stakeholders (Stakeholder Management), contributing to the enhancement of these critical relationships.- Work effectively within Agile Concepts (3+ years), participating actively in sprint cycles, daily stand-ups, and iteration planning.- Utilize Working knowledge of Azure DevOps (2+ years) for managing work items, test plans, and CI/CD pipelines.Issue Resolution and Documentation : - Actively address complex challenges and issues, manage technical solutions, and implement corrective actions post-incident.- Maintain detailed documentation of lessons learned, and gather and share pertinent technical and functional information across teams.Required Skills & Qualifications : - Core Platform : Mandatory 3+ years of hands-on experience working with the Salesforce Platform (Sales, Service, Experience Clouds preferred).- Test Management : 3+ years experience in Test Management including detailed Test Planning and Estimation.- Functional Testing : 3+ years experience performing Hands-on manual and automated Functional testing.- Specialized Testing : Minimum 2+ years of experience in API Testing and 2+ years applying Fundamentals of Non-Functional Testing (NFR).- Data Testing : At least 1+ years of experience performing Database Testing.- Process & Tools : 3+ years experience applying Agile Concepts and 2+ years of Working knowledge of Azure DevOps.- Soft Skills : 2+ years of experience in Stakeholder Management.Why you'll love this role at Civica- Opportunity to join a diverse software organization and work with cutting-edge cloud technologies.- You will oversee the entire project lifecycle, gaining exposure from requirements gathering through final release deployment.- You will address complex technical challenges, manage solutions, and contribute directly to customer and stakeholder relationship development.Preferred Skills- Experience automating Salesforce using specific tools (Selenium with Apex/Visualforce/Lightning, Provar).- Salesforce Tester Certification (Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, preferred).- Experience with Performance Testing specific to the Salesforce platform limits.
