Civica - Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack

Job Summary :We are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer with a minimum of 3 years in a senior role, possessing a strong technical background in the .NET Core, C#, and Angular stack. This essential position within the Engineering Team is focused on developing, testing, and maintaining innovative applications for our Education and Learning Management Platform. The engineer will leverage technical mastery to build secure, performant, and scalable cloud solutions for public sector clients, while actively participating in design reviews and mentoring junior team members.Job Description :Full Stack Development and Technical Execution :- Develop, write, troubleshoot, and support innovative, public sector-focused applications utilizing the core stack of .Net Core, C#, and Angular.- Demonstrate a strong background in .Net development and full-stack implementation, ensuring high quality and adherence to architecture standards.- Ensure the delivery of secure and performant software solutions by integrating security principles and optimization techniques throughout the entire SDLC.- Gain hands-on experience with cloud-based applications, contributing to design, deployment, and operation in a modern cloud environment.- Possess functional familiarity with database technologies, specifically MS SQL and MongoDB, for efficient data management and query optimization.Engineering Mentorship and Process Improvement:- Actively participate in high-level technical discussions and thorough design reviews to challenge assumptions and influence product architecture.- Utilize technical and interpersonal skills to actively support and mentor team members, promoting a culture of collaboration and engineering excellence.- Serve as an advocate for Agile methodologies and collaborative teamwork, contributing to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and process optimization.- Take ownership of and solve challenging problem-solving endeavors across both frontend (Angular) and backend (.NET Core) layers.- Drive efforts in updating and modernizing legacy applications, implementing strategic architectural changes to enhance longevity and efficiency.Strategic and Domain Alignment :- Align development and quality assurance work (writing and maintaining testing code) in strict adherence to the strategic roadmap set forth by the Product Management team.- Apply expertise to the unique constraints of public sector clients (GovTech), including security requirements, compliance needs, and data sovereignty considerations.- Contribute innovative solutions designed to enhance the effectiveness of the Education and Learning Management Platform.Required Skills & Qualifications :Experience: Minimum 3 years in a relevant senior engineering role with proven expertise.Core Stack: Strong background in .Net development, including mandatory proficiency in .Net Core, C#, and Angular.Data & Cloud: Hands-on experience with cloud-based applications and familiarity with MS SQL and MongoDB.Quality: Proven ability to develop secure and performant software solutions and maintain high code quality.Methodology: Advocacy for Agile methodologies and a commitment to collaborative teamwork.Domain: Exposure to products for public sector clients and experience in modernizing legacy applications.Soft Skills: Clear communication, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
