Regulatory Compliance Manager

Purpose:
To provide assurance that the company’s processes are being conducted as per the Company and Regulatory standards.
Main Priorities:
- To perform compliance reviews as well as assist in establishing compliance processes and procedures for the Company within given timeframe
- Reviewing internal process controls and compliance controls
- Track the development of processes reviewed
- Timely closure of the issues raised agreed during thematic review
- Check the quality of closure
- To develop thematic review MIS, and highlight non-compliances/ issues
- Prepare a standard process model to standardize review approach
- Conduct in-house trainings on Regulatory matters
- Managing Company’s Code for Personal Investments/Trading in securities
- Carrying out special projects as and when required
- Review and filing of Company’s Advertisements and Reporting
Qualifications:
L.L.B. and / or Company Secretary / Insurance Graduate / Chartered Accountant / Post Graduate with 7-9 years of relevant work experience, of which at least 3 years of experience should be in process review/ process implementation pertinent to life insurance
Skills / Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of life insurance business, processes and regulations
- Should possess ability to understand legal, business issues and processes
- Must demonstrate good verbal and written communication skill.
- Process orientation and identification of appropriate control mechanisms
- Excellent communication and inter personal skills to drive closures
Experience:
- At least 7-9 years of relevant work experience, of which at least 3 years of experience should be in process review/ process implementation pertinent to life insurance
- Competence in interpreting insurance laws and regulations
- Understanding of insurance industry and regulations
- Report writing, presentation skills with MS office
