Trekker Warrior Foundation is a non-profit organization run by a community of passionate trekkers, nature lovers, and mountaineers. We love natural habitats, especially in and around the mountains, and want to preserve their serenity and beauty. Our journey began in 2020 with a simple idea—combine trekking with social good in the mountains and give back to nature while enjoying its company. Along the way, we developed a community through on-ground activities, social media, and word-of-mouth, with many programs aimed at inspiring action and environmental stewardship. Since then, we've grown significantly, with over 100 community leaders, 200+ on-ground drives, and 25k+ followers on social media.


Role Description

We're seeking a part-time (voluntary) Senior Member – Special Projects & Growth to drive our next growth phase. This role requires a 10-12 hour weekly commitment to lead strategic initiatives, partnerships, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts. The ideal candidate should be a go-getter, strategic-minded yet execution-focused, and passionate about growing our community while positively impacting the environment and society. Your work will directly influence Trekker Warrior's growth and impact, and you'll collaborate with world-class leaders, learning and contributing to significant social change.


Responsibilities

  1. Lead environmental conservation and community engagement projects in the mountains. 
  2. Conduct research, design projects, identify gaps, and perform experiments.
  3. Ensure efficient project execution, timely delivery, and adherence to best practices.
  4. Build partnerships for corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities and fundraising.
  5. Develop relationships with corporate partners and assist in securing grants and donations.
  6. Represent the organization to promote a positive image and attract new opportunities.
  7. Collaborate with founders, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and values.
  8. Provide timely updates to the leadership team and support goal planning and reviews.
  9. Mentor junior team members in ops, fundraising, social media, and community management
  10. Conduct deep and thorough research on topics like circularity, waste management in the Himalayas, local governance structures, and fundraising activities.
  11. Identify partners and oversee initiatives like launching partnerships for developing circularity and expanding the footprint in the Himalayan mountains.


Requirements

  1. Passionate about non-profit work, environmental conservation, climate change initiatives, preserving natural habitats, trekking, nature, and outdoor activities.
  2. 3-8 years of experience as a proven leader in managing projects from inception to completion, adopting strategic perspectives while ensuring attention to detail.
  3. Excellent communicator, proficient in English and Hindi, with strong writing and verbal skills, able to build relationships and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Ability to present research on complex issues with simplicity and identify the next steps for execution. 
  4. Technically proficient, comfortable using Google Workspace, internet applications, online meeting tools 
  5. Empathetic, with strong problem-solving abilities, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to understand and respond to community needs.
  6. Highly committed and dedicated to the organization's mission, willing to contribute 10-12 hours per week in a part-time, voluntary capacity.
  7. Open to learning new skills, adapting to changing environments, and proactively seeking opportunities for personal and organizational growth.
  8. Previous experience in CSR initiatives, fundraising, or corporate partnerships is preferred but not necessary.
